21 Weeks!

21 Weeks & 4 Days
I guess you could say I'm a little late on posting this week's update - sorry! We've been really trying to spend every free minute focused on finishing painting the nursery so that we can start getting some stuff in one place, rather than scattered all over the place. Then my nieces and nephew came up for the weekend so I spent the day at the fair with most of my kiddies and I babysat my niece Sunday night/Monday and before I knew it, I'm already 22 weeks (which I will post in the next couple days, I promise!).

I guess I'm starting to look pregnant, not fat or bloated, because I had three different strangers (although one technically has seen me before) in stores notice and say something about it. I know some women aren't crazy about being called out about it, but I think it makes it a lot more real for me. I guess I'm just excited to see and know my little bump is our little girl growing like crazy! I'm starting to think she'll be here before I know it...

All About Baby -- She is about ten and a half inches now and weighing about eight-tenths of a pound. It'll be so exciting when she actually hits a pound (that is - until December and I'm dreading her birth)! She is definitely big enough that I'm feeling her movements all the time and there have even been a couple of occasions where S has felt her too! She is also now manufacturing meconium and has a lifetime supply of eggs in her womb!

How Momma is Feeling -- Maybe I just over-exhausted myself this week, but I'm kind of sore all over. My feet have been killing me, my back is horrible. Even laying on a nice comfy mattress doesn't relieve the pain sometimes, let alone if I try to lay on the floor. Oh, and I'm barely sleeping already. I toss and turn and can't get comfy half the time. On the plus side, I'm really excited to see the nursery coming together which sort of helps me to push through! I have so many little side projects that I want to do, so it at least keeps me busy. I've been having a lot of emotional baggage you could say, which I'm debating on blogging about, so keeping busy is a blessing!

Cravings -- I'm sort of all over the place this week. We had to go grocery shopping so maybe it was just a lack of food in the house, but mashed potatoes (maybe relating to my Thanksgiving feast desire), oreos, and tacos. Thank goodness not altogether, but still a pretty strange mix of foods to really be having a taste for!

Highlight of the Week -- Um, either finishing most of the painting in the nursery and getting the closet design the way I wanted it, or having people notice I was pregnant and not just overweight. Even through the back pain, feet pain, and lack of sleep, I guess I'm starting to enjoy this pregnancy and looking forward more every day to December!

Most Looking Forward To -- Right now, it's more causing me anxiety and stress than "looking forward to it", but we realized that our nursery furniture is a little bit bigger than is ideal for the room we painted as the nursery. Now we have to play around with placement and such to make it work and still love the room. I guess the crib was bigger than we imagined, but it was the only one we both loved, so oh well. We'll make it work. Anyway, to answer the question, I am looking forward to figuring out how to make the room work and seeing it be complete. We're getting there....slowly but surely!
