| 24 Weeks & 4 Days |
We had another doctor's appointment this week which went really well. My blood pressure is staying at a lower range and I did gain some weight! They aren't concerned about how little I'm gaining (I'm still not back to my pre-pregnancy weight), but I'm also technically overweight to begin with. Either way, I just look to make sure there is some gaining -- I'm also eating healthier and drinking MUCH less soda and 100% more water than I used to. Until the doctor tells me to be worried, this is just one thing I'm not stressing about! Next appointment is at 28 weeks and I'll be taking the glucose test - fingers crossed!
All About Baby -- She's steadily gaining weight from that body fat as well as growing muscles, bones, and organs. On average, babies are about eight and a half inches and weigh about a pound and a half by now! Her face is almost fully formed (yay for looking like a real baby -- her cousin thinks she's ugly right now!) and her skin is starting to become less and less see through.
How Momma is Feeling -- Aside from a few bloody noses, I'm actually doing pretty good this week. I asked the doctor, and she said occasionally they are okay and don't need to be cauterized. It caused a minor freakout on my part, but I'm all good now. My back was in some pain during the beginning of the week because I pushed it too much but the doctor wrote me a referral for a physical therapist, not that I've gone yet. I'm also starting to work on more projects around the house to help get everything organized and clean, as well as a couple for the fall season, and even some for little one's room! It definitely helps pass the time to have little things to do, especially considering I love being crafty!
Cravings -- Tacos again. I seriously cannot get enough tacos this week...no idea why!
Highlight of the Week -- Actually, yesterday. Thumper is so incredibly active this week (she's happy she got her Thanksgiving meal, Auntie D!). Last night, we were laying in bed and I was reading on my Kindle while S was going to sleep. He put his hand on my stomach and she was just doing flips and somersaults. Hubby actually fell asleep to her kicking. It was just one of those moments that made me smile...he's gonna be such an amazing daddy.
Most Looking Forward To -- Hubby has a week of vacation coming up to celebrate our one year anniversary and I'm definitely looking forward to some time for us to spend together. We're hoping to maybe do a couple day trips, clean up some of the basement, etc. Essentially, just some time where he isn't stressing about work is going to be wonderful!
