| 27 Weeks & 4 Days |
This week I've been doing a Mommy Makeover Challenge (which I will post about, explain, and link up to starting on Monday) per another blogger's brilliant idea. Part of the challenge is to take a picture of yourself every day and it's amazing to see even the differences in my belly. Between where she is sitting or time of day I take the picture, it's actually pretty cool to see since I don't necessarily pay attention on a daily basis. Not much was happening this week aside from that. S went back to work and it's been all about us getting back into a routine.
All About Baby -- Baby girl is no longer measured from crown to rump this week, but will be measured according to head to toes! I find this pretty exciting because it means her legs (and arms) are big enough to give accurate measurements now! She is also beginning to show brain activity -- I just wish I could watch it! It's so unreal to think about her starting as this little poppy seed sized being, and now thinking of her as this big!
How Momma is Feeling -- Definitely starting to think this chickie will be born with a full set of hair! The heartburn has been awful! I can tell that she's also doing some serious growing because my lungs/ribs/right below my chest is constantly feeling tight unless I'm laying down or sitting up perfectly straight. It may seem weird but it literally feels like my bones are fusing together in there. I'm also still nesting -- getting little things cleaned up in the nursery, putting stuff away that we've got, and I'm thinking about redesigning the blog. All these little projects to keep me busy and keep the time passing.
Cravings -- Nothing really specific this week. S did make tater tots though and now I can't get them out of my head. Part of my dinner for two nights in a row with applesauce...yum!
Highlight of the Week -- Nothing really exciting happened this week to really be a highlight. I do have to say there were a couple of days where S was here in the morning and he'd roll over to cuddle and put his hand on my stomach. Thumper would just start kicking and kicking to the point of waking me up. The smile on hubby's face was just priceless. He lights up every single day she kicks at him...
Most Looking Forward To -- Next weekend! I'm not saying why, but let's just say I have a date with a very important person in my life! In a way I'm also looking forward to getting this screening test over and done with. I'm nervous about it, but it is what it is!
Third trimester?!? It seems like you just told me two seconds ago... I am so excited to see you with a little baby girl in your arms. I love that she loves to let her daddy know she's in there. :)
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! It's absolutely insane how fast time is going!
